Work is kicking my ass lately, but not this week! They need to get my average back down to legal part-time, so I'll only have 15 hours this week. Huzzah! Maybe that will give me time to fix my tablet pen, which decided to croak on me last week. Booo. Now that I'm actually getting pretty good with it and relying on it more, it figures that it'd break down on me. >(

I hope I can fix it. Nothing seems to be wrong with the tablet itself, but the pen is all screwy. I've changed the nib and the battery, but it does nothing. Zilch. I can't find much information about repairing these things, either. Anyone around here use Adesso? The tablet is willing, but the pen is weak, and it makes me sad.


In happier news, next week we'll be bringing home a Doberman puppy! "Squee!" is the proper internet lingo, I believe. Dobe! <3 He's going to be a lot of work, but it's totally worth it. We haven't had a dog in years. I wonder what we'll end up naming him...shall we continue mother's tradition of naming pets after their species in Japanese? Dad suggested 'dog' in German, since...well, it's a German breed, but then we'd end up with a dog named Dog. XD

Also, summer just hit us like a ton of bricks. Screw you, humidity! Now I'll feel uncomfortably damp until October...
